Awards in the Plastics Industry
The BPF is pleased to offer continued support to The Plastics Industry Awards and The Horners Award. Both awards go a long way in recognising some key achievements and innovations within the plastics industry.
The Plastics Industry Awards

The BPF is once more supporting the annual UK Plastics Industry Awards.
Launched in 2001, the Plastics Industry Awards recognise the achievements of the UK plastics industry. The awards are divided into a number of categories including Consumer Product Design and Industrial Product Design, Apprentice or Trainee of the Year, and five awards in the Processor Awards section.

The Horners Award

The Horners Award is an annual award for an imaginative or innovative contribution to the plastics industry and is administered by the BPF.
The Worshipful Company of Horners was founded to set and maintain standards in the ancient craft of the Horner. After it had 'adopted' plastics, the company introduced an award to encourage good design in plastics, these materials being the logical successor to the horn. The rules of entry were revised in 1976 to require a proven record of recent commercial success, and processes as well as products became eligible.
