Kunststoffe ('K') is the worlds largest plastics exhibition. Its sheer size and global importance means it is a 'must exhibit' event for those involved in developing plastics related business internationally.

K2004 brought together 2,914 exhibitors and 230,000 plastics visitors. Half of these came from outside Germany and a third from outside Europe - ’K’ is a truly international plastics trade show and an exceptionally effective platform for exploring new international opportunities and networking with customers from around the globe.
The incredible success of 'K' and the fact it takes place once every three years means the show is typically over subscribed - the application deadline is May 2006. Companies missing this deadline will be placed on a waiting list and cannot be guaranteed space.

The BPF have teamed up with Tradefairs.co.uk to offer companies exceedingly high quality and very affordable accommodation for the K show, whether exhibiting or simply visiting.
The accommodation on offer caters for all tastes and budgets starting from £95 per night up to £293 and offers packages covering anything from 3 days to the whole length of the show.

K2007 - British Group Stand Package |
The BPF is dedicated to maximising the impact of UK Exhibitors at K2007 and has, with the support of Platform Europe, put together a cost effective stand package that any UK Exhibitor, regardless of location can adopt. This high quality stand package will incorporate a British Group Logo, the wide spread use of this package throughout the show will ensure the UK
Plastics Sector has a strong visual presence at ‘K’.
| Each package includes furniture (1 table and 4 chairs), electricity (a 500W socket is provided but a mains box is not included), spot lights and company name featured on the fascia board. In addition the front of each stand is 3.2m high (the maximum height allowed by the ‘K’ organisers) which will give the best possible exposure to companies exhibiting as part of the British Group. |

Raising Your Profile at K2007 |
The BPF is dedicated to ensuring that UK exhibitors get the best from K2007. The BPF have put together a comprehensive package of support including:

Marketing Through UK Group Guide - Copies will be widely distributed before, during and after the show
Redirection of Customers and Enquiries by members of the BPF team who will be at the show and will redirect enquiries from potential customers to your stand, in addition to this information on all companies in the group will be displayed at the prominently located UK Village
Media Relations Support – Through a strong international press network and in-house media relations resource the BPF will project the British Group globally. The team will also be on hand to support companies in the Group with their individual press activities.
Provision of Amenities at Show - Including free internet, tel/fax facilities and refreshments from BPF stand
Group Interpreter - Companies will be given the opportunity to book the multilingual UK Group Interpreter
Strong Web Promotion - A webpage hosted on the BPF site will feature product information on all companies in the group (the BPF website is currently number 1 for the term ‘plastics’ on www.google.com)
Provision of Marketing Information Pack - Information will be provided to companies to assist them in effectively projecting themselves at ‘K’
BPF links with International Trade Associations in key world markets will be activated, as will contacts with UK Government officials in market
Networking Opportunities - A number of networking opportunities will be arranged by the BPF both before and during the show.
Government Support – The BPF is currently bidding for support to extend the scope of UK Group promotion

Support For 'New To Export' Companies |
As an alternative to the comprehensive British Group stand packages, the BPF are offering eligible UK companies the opportunity to take part in a prominently located UK Village. This is specifically designed for UK companies which meet the UK Trade & Investment definition of ‘New To Export’ (‘in the previous 12 months 10% of turnover resulted from
proactive exports and no more than 25% of turnover resulted from a combination of proactive and reactive exports’).
The prominently branded UK Village will feature twelve 6sqm booths (3sqm x 2sqm) and will be located in a prime location at ‘K’. The booths surround a large 60sqm lounge and hospitality area, which can be used by exhibitors as a comfortable and quite environment to talk to potential clients.
Each booth comes fully furnished with a counter, chair and magazine rack (electiricity is also included). The cost of a booth in the UK Village is £2,575 –demand however is expected to be high and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

UK Trade and Investment Grants |

As in previous years, the British Plastics Federation will apply for government funding for companies taking space at ‘K’. Grants cannot be applied for until December 2006 however it is envisaged that these grants will be available for all eligible UK Companies (meeting the ‘New to Export’ and ‘SME’
definitions) whether exhibiting in the UK Village or independently—grants should be in the region of £1,800 per eligible company. |
