The BPF Polymer Distributors and Compounders Group’s mission is to maintain a strong networking platform, to promote and further enhance the polymer distribution and compounding business throughout the UK to both customers and suppliers alike. The group boasts a sizeable membership involved in the distribution of plastics raw materials from producers as well as compounding their own products. The Group has produced a downloadable buyers guide in order to promote 'best in class' suppliers containing information on each member company including materials distributed, technical support, and contact details. • Managing rising costs, including energy and regulation, and their impact on business and the supply chain Promoting plastics in UK product design and manufacture with consideration for a range of sales, marketing and communications media
• Managing the reputation of chemicals, additives and plastics materials across the lifecycle
• Managing credit risks
• Managing significant legislative change cost-effectively, particularly with regard to REACH and EU food contact legislation
• Identifying market share of polymer products in the UK and Republic of Ireland
• Benchmarking critical costs in transport, warehousing and logistics
• Assisting the ongoing development and delivery of prudent Health and Safety practice and policies
