Complete the form below to register your interest in the Horners Award for plastics innovation and design and you will be contacted shortly to discuss the merits of your potential entry, the award rules are detailed below. Entries are normally sought in the first quarter and adjudication takes place in June/July. Presentation of the Award takes place annually at the Horners Banquet in early October and the Highly Commended Certificate at the BPF Annual Dinner in the middle of October. The Rules of Entry are:
- The product, machine or process must have had a proven track record of recent commercial success or potential for commercial success in the UK.
- Entries must be made on the official entry form which can be downloaded by CLICKING HERE or by contacting the BPF
- Where possible, the entry form must be accompanied by the product, machine or a representation of the machine or process. If this is not feasible, a DVD, photograph and / or drawings may be accepted in lieu. A full description together with a justification for considering the entry for the Award must also be supplied.
- In the event of a product, machine or processbeing shortlisted, the adjudicating committee reserves the right to inspect it. This may entail a visit to the premises of the submitting company.
- The Award may be withheld if no entry reaches the required standard. Conversely, should the standard be sufficiently high then the adjudicating committee may, in addition decide to award Highly Commended certificates.
