Established in 1933 the British Plastics Federation is the most powerful voice in the UK plastics industry with over 400 members across the plastics industry supply chain, including polymer producers and suppliers, additive manufacturers, recyclers, services providers, end users, plastics processors and machinery manufacturers.

The BPF promotes the interests of its Members principally through its four Market Sector Groups and its many common interest Business Groups. The BPF Central Expert Committees address industry wide concerns including Environment, Fire, Product Safety and Industrial Health & Safety.

BPF and The Climate Change Agreement

Recently BPF Energy and The British Plastics Federation have entered into a Climate Change Agreement (BPF CCA) with the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) for the Plastics Sector. This will allow companies with a qualifying site to claim an 80% discount from their energy supplier on the Climate Change Levy (CCL) which they pay on electricity and LPG.

Members of the British Plastics Federation will receive 50% discount on the administration fees charged to companies to claim the 80% rebate on their climate change levy.
