Barclays Sales Finance

Using our Sales Finance service gives you fast and flexible access to the cash you need cost effectively. It is very simple to operate with electronic delivery and requires the minimum amount of administration from your business.

It releases cash tied up in your sales ledger enabling you to finance further growth and achieve early settlement discounts from your suppliers where available. You retain full responsibility for maintaining your sales ledger, credit control and collection, and your customers are unaware of our involvement. Facilities are tailored to meet the needs of each individual business and the amount available under the facility is usually up to 85% of the approved debtor book.

Barclays Leveraged Finance

Barclays Leveraged Finance assist management teams and private equity houses in raising finance for management and institutional buy-outs, money-out transactions and assist Corporate customers with acquisitions. We refer to these transactions as "Leveraged transactions" as there is often little or no asset backing available as security and as a result of the transaction the Company will become highly geared.

We provide and structure debt packages from £600k up to £100m, including Senior Debt and Mezzanine Finance, usually in support of private equity investments funded by Venture Capital Companies including Barclays Private Equity and Barclays Ventures.

International Treasury and Cash Management

Our International Treasury and Cash Management Team offer a broad range of products to both customers and non-customers with exchange rate, interest rate and commodity hedging and cash deposit requirements.

Manufacturing companies benefit from our fuel hedging products to remove price fluctuation risks and to allow for liquidity planning. Firms partaking in international trading use exchange rate hedging to remove financial risks associated with cross-currency transactions. These risks can be borne by the financial markets rather than the manufacturing companies, allowing them to concentrate on the business at hand.
