
The BPF has warmly welcomed the opening last week on 11th May of: the ECO Plastics advanced new Continuum plastics recycling plant at Hemswell, Lincolnshire; the new Thames riverside Energy from Waste plant at Belvedere, Kent, opened by Princess Anne (15/05/2012)
The BPF's Recycling Group has proposed that the Producer Responsibility system governing packaging recycling should be increasingly weighted in favour of UK recycling. (02/05/2012)
In the Queens Speech on 9th May Her Majesty will outline the Government's legislative agenda for the coming year. This will include an Energy Bill which, it is believed will attempt to ensure the UK has an affordable, low carbon and secure generating mix. (09/05/2011)
The British Plastics Federation (BPF) is the leading trade association for the UK Plastic Industry, with over 400 members and 1200 affiliated members. Encompassing the whole plastic industry supply chain including raw material suppliers, processors, machinery suppliers and recyclers. BPF membership represents over 75% of the plastics industry by turnover.
